Our Beliefs

At Cardville United Pentecostal Church, we are a Bible-believing, Spirit-filled, Spirit-led, family oriented church. Everything we believe and practice is rooted in the Word of God.

We also understand that not everyone comes from the same background and that’s okay. Our desire is to share truth with clarity, kindness, and love as we grow together in faith.

The Bible

We believe the Bible is the inspired and infallible Word of God. It is our guide for truth, our foundation for faith, and our direction for daily living.

The One True God

We believe there is one God (Deuteronomy 6:4).

God has revealed Himself to us as Father in creation, through His Son Jesus Christ in redemption, and as the Holy Spirit active in our lives today.

We believe that Jesus Christ is God manifested in the flesh (1 Timothy 3:16) and that in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead (Colossians 2:9). Jesus is not just a part of God, He is the fullness of who God is, and He is our Savior.

Salvation

We believe salvation is found in Jesus Christ alone, and that it is a life changing experience available to everyone.

The Bible gives us a clear response to the gospel:

  • Repentance: A sincere turning away from sin and turning toward God (Acts 2:38)
  • Water Baptism in Jesus’ Name: For the remission of sins (Acts 2:38)
  • The Infilling of the Holy Ghost: With the initial sign of speaking in other tongues (Acts 2:4)

This is more than a tradition, it is a transformation. God doesn’t just forgive; He makes all things new.

The Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Ghost is active and present today, just as in the early church.

The Spirit empowers us to live a godly life, leads us into truth, and gives us strength, comfort, and direction. We desire to be a church that is sensitive and responsive to the leading of the Spirit.

Christian Living

We believe that a relationship with Jesus affects every area of our lives.

We pursue a life of:

  • Holiness: Living set apart for God
  • Obedience: Following His Word
  • Love: Treating others with grace and compassion
  • Growth: Becoming more like Christ each day

We are not perfect but we are committed to growing in God’s grace together.

The Church

We believe the church is the body of Christ: a community of believers joined together in faith, worship, and purpose.

Our mission is to:

  • Worship God wholeheartedly
  • Teach and live out His Word
  • Support and encourage one another
  • Share the message of Jesus with our community

Our Heart

We believe truth matters and we believe people matter.

Everything we do is centered on helping people experience the presence of God, understand His Word, and grow in a real and lasting relationship with Him.
